We are America's Boating Club - the world’s largest not for profit, non-governmental, recreational boating organization; promoting boater safety membership.  

As  the local branch, we are incorporated as ' Southport Sail & Power Squadron', and we are more than just boating:

• We're about friendship, education, social events, memories that last a lifetime, bettering your community and being the most confident boater you can be. 
• We offer FREE VESSEL SAFETY CHECKS (VSC) performed by a certified Vessel Examiner.   Boats that pass the examination are awarded a distinctive VSC Decal that alerts the Coast Guard, Harbor Patrol, and other law-enforcement agencies that your boat was found to be in full compliance with all Federal and State boating laws. Frequently, such agencies will not detain or board boats displaying a current-year decal that are otherwise operating safely.
